An Alphabet of Pagans- A is for Angry

Age Group: Adult
And lo, they come
A frothing and a foaming
Their nostils flared
Their eyes aflame
They come in their droves
The Angry Pagans.
When some fundie Christian
Has put forth an argument
Against all Pagans and Witches
That can be refuted
By anyone with a good knowledge
Of modern Paganism
Lo, they come
Gnashing and tearing
This flimsy argument to shreds
Denouncing the Church
Not even the Hunt
Could manage such fierceness.
Or when some dumb bunny
Posts an article
Showing up their stupidity
By claiming ancient lineage
And a mystical heritage
With fairies and moondrops
And dancing dragons
Lo, they come
Livid and unstoppable
Ripping gaping wounds
In the little bunny's pride
Ensuring the ignorant noe
That their kind are
Unwelcome in these parts.
Or when PC Pagans
Berate them for rudeness
Or when tolerance is preached
Or when hypocrisy is rife
You can guarantee
The Angry Pagan will come
And thrash the PC
Until they are PC no more
And slash all those
Who preach tolerance
To those who consider
Us all enemies of their cause
And trash all those
Hypocrites and liars,
Bigots and bashers
Until they can be angry no more
And simply pass out
From the expansion of energy
That has all been channelled
Into their anger and vendettas.
Their night does fall
And they recover their
Fiery and stormy energy
Ready for the next line of lunacy
That they should ever come across.
And lo, they will come again
A frothing and a foaming
Their nostils flared
Their eyes aflame
Their hearts a racing
Their voices shrieking
Their keyboard furiously tapping
On any form of stupidity
On any form of ignorance
On any lie
On any naivety
On any mistake
Or any ill thought out remark
They will come in their droves
These Angry Pagans.
Author's Notes: My new series of poetry, this time for humour purposes only. (It won't go all dark, tragic and gloomy like Ethereal did. Oh and it's not an epic.)
Certainly things like bigotry, ignorance and hypocrisy deserve some anger thrown at them. (Well thought out of course.) However it always disturbs me when you can see people frothing at the mouth over what might be a simple and honest mistake.
