An Alphabet of Pagans- B is for Bored

Age Group: Adult
They lay there
On a bed or on a couch
In the shade or in the sun
Nothing to do
Nothing to say
What can they say
Just that they're bored.
They have read
Many books
But found them too dull
They have been
On the net
But the novelty wore off
An event was
Held near them
But they didn't go
What was the reason
"I'm bored."
And in all that blank time
They just sit around
Never doing anything.
Rituals do take
Up too much of their time
Meditation seems like a waste
A walk in the park
They never have time
That time is reserved
For being bored.
No reason can they
Bring to explain
The boredom that they harbour
No study or practice
Comes into their time
Too boring for their boring lives
Fitting routine
No great a change
Their too busy to actually reflect
When they have a small moment
To look deep within
They are too bored
It is said.
Author's Notes: Here is the second installment, quite a difference in type. Anyway I suppose many Pagans will have gone through the addiction to being bored phase at some point. Let's face there are probably people from a variety of religions who have gone through the addiction to being bored phase.
