An Alphabet of Pagans- G is for Greener than thou

Age Group: Adult
Recycleables to the left
Vegetarian products to the right
The Greener than thou Pagan
Sets straight to work.
They go around the town
Or all around the web
Telling other people
That they are not green enough
They tell you that if you are not
Vegan or into Fairtrade
Or recycling or protesting
That you are not a real Pagan.
Lost on them is the message
That you do not need to be Pagan
In order to lead a green life
They just enjoy dictating.
They nag and they pester
Until you can stand no more
They make you want to run
From the greenness they exude.
They believe that if you smoke
You continue to pollute the air
(Even if they drive a car
Or have a massive 'carbon footprint')
They care little for
The live and let live philosophy
So long as their agenda is pushed
They shall be happy.
While their goals have high ideals
And are noble and geared to others
They push so persistantly
That they lose sight of what they wish.
Author's Notes: I have nothing against people who care for the environment. I just don't like those who insist on pushing their green ways on the rest of us. It's one thing to be environmentally conscious but another to insist that those who are not are bad people or 'not real Pagans.'
