An Alphabet of Pagans- I is for Info Overload

Age Group: Adult
Books stacked to the ceiling
And notes that are a book in themselves
A whole hive of information
Scattered in the infinite mind.
Searching for the right piece
Is like searching for a mobile phone
It rings while you search
You know its there somewhere
But can't quite remember where.
An question is asked
About magic, history or mythology
They know the answer really
But may not know how to word it,
Or mix it up with something else.
Their minds are like
Mismanaged offices
With little organisation at all
They take in too much
And expect too much
So feel stupid for their mishaps.
Crammed to the brim
With facts, names and figures
With uses, myths, definitions
So many that they have trouble
Even recalling the basics.
Some cram as hard as possible
But can never remember
What goes where
They research and study
Books and sites at their disposal
The problem is their own minds.
Their intelligence becomes their enemy
They feel inferior for being unable
To remember all of the facts
And unable to recall with a snap.
They try so hard
Yet their mismanagement of facts
Lets them down in the end.
Their Book of Shadows
Becomes a must for them
Where can they write it all down.
Yet they need some form of
Organisation or an index system
In order to remember
Where they put that vital piece
Of information for this ritual.
Meanings become multiple
As they try to remember them all
And to recite various definitions
For the same concept over again.
They take themselves too seriously
And are swamped in heaps of knowledge
Possibly more than they
Are able to take on
The Pagans with Information Overload.
Author's Notes: I'll admit that I can get a bit like this at times when I feel like a twit for not being able to remember correctly what bit of info goes where, or being able to find what I'm looking for. How many of you sometimes get like this or go through this?
