An Alphabet of Pagans- K is for Kind

Age Group: Adult
They will give you
All the blessings of Kuan Yin
As they help anyone
Who needs it.
They support all
The animals shelters
And any group that
Is down trodden or helpless.
They lend a hand to
The neighbour who struggles
And an ear to the one
Who needs a shoulder to cry on.
Should you lose
Your keys or wallet
They will gladly help
You to find it.
If you need help
With fixing your car
Or mending that leak
They will be there.
When you feel like
Your Gods have abandoned you
And that nobody else cares
They will prove you wrong.
When you have lost
You faith in the Pagan community
The Kind Pagan comes
To restore it at once.
When people start
To argue over the trivial
This Pagan will try
At once to bring peace.
Such Pagans can be rare
And some will have their faults.
They can help you
Mend your relationship
But may struggle in their own
Relationships and groups.
They can help you
Stand up to harassment and bullying
But may of course
Be a victim of it themselves.
They can help you
Bring people together
But may find their own
Hard to deal with
For lack of ears.
Then these Kind Pagans
Need our help as much
As they give us theirs.
They need our help
To find a harsher side
To act in a stronger manner
To stand up in the face
Of adversity.
For many of us may know
A person or maybe two
Who the saying does go
"You are too kind for your own good."
Author's Notes: A little piece on kindness which is something that all communities need if they are going to last and stand together. Sometimes kind people need to have that kindness returned.
