An Alphabet of Pagans- U is for Underrated
by Moonlight Wolf
Age Group: Adult
They mostly go unnoticed
Either because they are
Young or new to Paganism.
They have many good ideas
But who would be there
To listen to them?
We may laugh
At their youthful ideas
Call them naive and
Accuse them of being
Without knowledge
Simply because they
May have a different view
That many older and
More experienced Pagans
May not have thought of.
Some keep their mouths shut
And let their keyboards lie idle
Because they are afraid
Of being called fools
Or being called fluffy.
Most of these Pagans
Are solitary with
Nothing to back up
Their experiences.
No titles or degrees
To say that they have studied
Yet they know they have.
Some may not be very good
At expressing their views
And may say stupid things
Which are not what they
Meant to say at all.
Many feel as though
They may not be seen
As a strong sort of Pagan.
They often lack confidence
But look underneath
And they will have more knowledge
Than they realise.
Author's Notes: Here's the latest of the Alphabet. There are probably a lot of Pagans out there who do not get their due, because they get crowded out by the vocal minority of those who scream persecution at their critics.
