Dancing now with the turn of the Wheel
Light now further does wane
The Equinox of Autumn is here
Bringing the harvest again.
Flowers now turn into fruit
From the humblest of seeds
All of it is a full and a ripe
To fill our winter needs.
Goddess and God are ageing now
Grey hair now on their heads
The fruit is ready to be gathered now
Before it shall fall down dead.
Dance on the ground, it's covered in leaves
Celebrating the harvest boon
Sing your joy, thank the Gods right now
By the light of the waning moon.
Gather the harvest as the sun sets
Darkness will soon draw in
The cold and the winter will soon bite
We shall soon turn within.
Look back now on a year of work
Note all you gained and learned
Thank for the blessings, thank for the gifts
That from the Gods you earned.
On this eve you sing out your heart
Of the balance of dark and light
The scales are tipped and the stream flows away
The day shall run to night.
Raise a glass of milk or wine
In the basket take your need
On this night we shall feast or dine
But supply for the winter feed.
Take in the colours changing around
Brown and red from the green
The height of Autumn now has arrived
Note the change to be seen.
Apples picked, the baskets are made
The crafts are on display
Show what you have reaped this year
On this sacred day.
Dancing now with the turn of the Wheel
The Wheel is now moving West
Celebrate now what you give thanks for
As the Gods now move to rest.
