Cailleach Bheare

Cailleach, Cailleach as the nights are cold
So with your words, sharp and bold.
By silver hammer, the world be frozen
And stony blue holds thoughts well chosen.
Oh great sleeper, as you dream in your womb created,
Our world awakes as light sun partakes.
Yet when you awake blue moon landscapes are draped,
O’er the misty hills and stony lakes,
And wooded glens are wintry caped.
Old woman of the moors
You shape the land with bare hand.
To which led me to great woodland
Which showed me there spears of ice,
Hung among a stony well,
Within a cave.
And be it the brave, to enter in.
For fear of what entailed there in.
The icy sharpness melted before me
The frozen wands
Turned to rivers
Which be the givers. Of life in all thee.
Of which we hold in bodies bold
And be it told cycles of gold
And stories old.
