A Perfect Winters Day

It has been the most perfect Winters day which started with a cerulean sky without a cloud in sight.While underfoot Jack Frost had been at work with his palette of white, leaving a frosting of white rime on the green leaves.
Then as the sun rose this perfect cerulean sky was dotted with black shapes, just a few at first and then joined by more in a tumult of sound, it was the Rooks of course taking to wing in joyful flight to greet the sun.
Now it is almost days end, and the Rooks will soon take flight again to bid the sun farewell in another flurry of uproarious sound before settling down for the night.
So I share this perfect day with you in gratefulness for the beauty that the Great Mother has shared with me today.
