Am I Alone

Age Group: Adult
Alone I stand, surrounded by people, yet no one cares,
I look around at my so called fiends, yet no one here truely knows me,
A silent scream escapes my lips,
A hidden tear falls down my cheek,
Am I alone?
I am dark and I'm twisted deep down inside,
Slowly sinking in a sea of self doubt,
But I hide behind myself,
I laugh and I smile,
Am I alone?
Sometimes I feel I should tell someone,
Tell someonewhat's on my mind,
Am I depressed?
Or am I just crazy?
Am I alone?
I have lucid moments when all is right in the world,
I'm an optimist at heart,
But deep down inside,
Where nobody sees,
Am I alone?
No one knows this dark side of me,
If they did I'm not sure they'd care,
They'd scream and they'd run,
They'd hunt and they'd shun,
Am I alone?
So I put up this front,
That I'm happy and care,
But I wonder if there's others,
Who feel this way too?
Am I alone?
