Moon On The Dale

The rain, it keeps pouring. Vendela wishes he would stop snoring.
In the mists and behind the veil, she shrieks to no avail!
On her nesting broom she spirals to the moon!
Come hither, me there, come thether me never!
Oh broom fly me away , far from the alien dale to a ne'er- do well, to find that pagan place I once knew.
To gather up all my recollections of yesteryears curses and spells and incantations to spin some more flaxen seeds and make better brew, for me and for you.
The rain I wish it go away!
Poof! Rain all gone, the moon' song has now come upon
her here, in the place where she aught not be! Take me I say down that lonesome blue star way, where I do so belong, to begin again as a truer someone.
Cast my fears and doubts and hates and haunts behind me, carry on the breeze the weeping willow tree that still knows me.
The moon on the dale, I can not tell the tale of whence we met, now I seek to find him!
Take me far from the one below I do not love or know!
Sprinkle those dew-drop glittery dust and set my soul amongst the violets, lilacs and roses and hyacinths, daffodils and sweet clover, make me over!
Moon if you only knew how I seek you! The power and the glory, older than any story, I find you now, come this way sometime soon again, we meet, we greet and then we come full circle : COMPLETE.
The moon on the dale, does never fail, but the rain once again slid down.
He awoke next moring, found her gone, her, to never be found!
Author's Notes: my ode to the moon and the pagans need to be solitary if but for the right reason. her only reason.
