Another Day

In your eyes,
The world does stop,
Just one word,
One skip, one hop.
Child again,
On the playing field,
You take my hand,
My life you healed.
One day you're there,
And then you're gone,
Many days blurred,
Into one.
As I grew up,
You never came,
I only wanted,
To see you again.
I had to try,
To forget, to forgive,
To remember how,
I used to live.
Without you there,
When you did go,
Your smile fades,
As I say no.
To see your face,
To remember the pain,
I can't go back,
To your loves embrace.
Your tears fall,
As I walk away,
We'll be together again,
On another day.
