Pan
As I was walking through the wood, past the babbling brook a distant flute was heard.
Draw near, draw near, it seemed to say and I followed in a trance like way.
Lo and behold Pan I did see sitting beneath the old oak tree by the babbling brook.
Oh lord Pan I did say I thought that you had gone away, beyond the Vail of night and day, to where all the god/ess do go and some wo/man may follow also.
With his nymphs three there were kneeling at his cloven hooves, white skinned and naked but aloof to those who don’t worship Pan.
Pan is all that be known, Pan was dead and now he lives and sits beneath the old oak tree by the babbling brook, If you ever walk through the wood you may hear the sound of a distant flute or hear him sigh but you will probably just walk by and break his heart and make him cry,
Pan was happy and now he is sad and all because man now thinks he is bad, how sad how sad.
