The Wrong Place

I went to a Church
The big Church at the end of the Street
It had a big cross and a café upstairs
But I didn't feel a deity, a deity, a deity
I didn't feel a deity there at all
I went to a Mosque
The small Mosque in the town
I took off my shoes and knelt down on a mat
But I didn't feel a deity, a deity, a deity
I didn't feel a deity there at all
I went to a Synagog
The one that's off the side road
I went there and covered my head to pray
But I didn't feel a deity, a deity, a deity
I didn't feel a deity there at all
I went to the Woods
The small woods by a lake
I walked around the woods and listen to the air
And I felt lots of deities, deities, deities
I felt lots of deities all there after all
Author's Notes: I was reading "Now we are Sixty (and a bit) " when I saw the poem "Home" based off "The Wrong House" by A.A. Milne and instantly this poem popped into my head as something to write using the same style.
It's not actually saying that there aren't any deities in churches, mosques or synagogs it's just saying that I felt deities in nature rather than there. I hope you enjoy.
