Cut Short

Limping heart.
Crutches of pain.
Disbelief gathers in the haze,
a short lifetime of cherished memories
washed away
in the spite of a day.
A storm is brewing.
Let loose
the lethal flood of emotion
to destroy
what we thought we once knew
Author's Notes: This ones about the raw emotions associated with the death of a loved one, of course I could never articulate the emotions felt but I have done my best here! As always I welcome your feedback.
