The Yearly Miracle.

The yearly miracle of colour is upon us once more as the sap released in that one massive vernal heart beat in the spring returns to the forest roots now that autumn is here.
Nature is slowing down in readiness for its yearly sleep covered by blankets of fog and snow, but for now the trees will give us one last show, one last firework display of golden hues. Then in a mad frenzy these leaves of gold and red will fall to join their comrades of past years.
Soon the nights will be redolent with the earthy smell of bonfire smoke and on clear nights there will be a chill in the air and the Goddess will paint the sky with stars.
