Something happy in my life?

Something happy in my life?
Is there something for me?
Something happy in my life?
I only seem now to find
More trouble and more strife
You and I should now be together
Cuddled and safe in our own place
Misery and sadness in my heart
And worry on your face
I try and try and try again
And almost make it through
But something happens every time
So I have to try and try anew
I don’t really have such great ideas
Nice things and a nice place
But all I have is old and broken
And my heart in sad cold space
I am loosing the will my dear
The will to graft and fight
All I see this last short time,
Is the dying of the light.
Hold me close and comfort me
As only you can ever do
And know that whatever happens
To you I shall be true
And now I’ll go to try and sleep
While my stomach churns
And I’ll try and smile sweetly
As all I can see of the future
…burns.
