Once I knew a Witch, boy
I’ll describe her if I can
Big green eyes, long slim legs
Curvy figure and perfect tan
Well, so many times I tried
To take her into my bed
Once on a warm southern night
She got up and she said…
I don’t need a man
This woman’s got a plan

I’m doin’ it with Pan
So we’d dance the nights away,
Spend the mornings hand in hand
But when it came to loving
We were in a different land…

The years they passed us by
We danced and laughed and cried
On another warm summer night
She got up and she sorta sighed….

And those so young were old
So then her pretty eyes looked at me
And their light was grey & cold

And I thought of what she’d done
And everywhere we’d been

Author's Notes: This one is on the perils of what happens when the spiritual is all of your life and nothing else gets a look in.
I was thinking of a folky - country sorta style for it... if anyone wants to... see if you can find a tune that fits it :)
me being me I gave it a happy ending - sortaish
