This piece of Earth
I once feared none could touch me
I once feared that the chance had flown
But you came to me and you loved me
And over time that love has grown
Standing in our hidden circle
Dancing in the dead of night
And as we lay awake together
I see you framed by mornings light
There was a time I bare remember
When I alone was what would be
But you came to me and then you loved me
Made me see what I should be
I’ve always known the sound of silence
What scares me more is an empty heart
For that is all my life should gift me
If ever you and I should part
So come to me and take my hand, love
We’ll set our course down the long years
And while time will see us many changes
I’ll hold your heart and dry your tears
And now I know that all I wished for
Was to gently hold your hands in mine
And to hear you say how much you love me
Forever on this piece of earth
Author's Notes: This is a song by a band called West of Eden that I have rewritten
all apart from the tune, the title and the last two lines are mine.
