Ode to Original Thought

Ode to Original Thought
There once was a concept
Called original thought
It meant searching and working
Around things you were taught
And from this little concept
Called original thought
Came the great MC-squared
And the cars that we bought
But see our little concept
Called original thought
Is so weak and so ill
Now knowledge is bought
Once our little concept
Called original thought
Would flow from the minds
Of those seekers that sought
Our poor little concept
Called original thought
Calls out to us vainly
In the trap where we’re caught
So our poor little concept
Called original thought
Crys “don’t forget me” or
T’will all be for nought
And our poor little concept
Called original thought
Watches the world
Sits alone and distraught
Now our poor little concept
Called original thought
Sits and watches our glee
At the knowledge we bought
