How can I know?

How can I know?
How can I know, when there was no one.
To show me what exactly is love?
Is it the joy of caresses and kisses
Finding a heart that fits yours like a glove.
How can I know when my family
Act like they are made out of ice
At school I was hurt, bullied and raped
They said, “Sit down & shut up” or “that’s nice”
I finally found me a place that’s for me
Rolling countryside as far as can see
But now my beliefs they are ‘evil & vile’
Just for once, will you please let me be!
I have tried my hardest to be what you want
But I cant be what you want me to be
I can write, I’m a poet, and I’ve found that heart
Can’t you just be proud that I’m me?
But I guess I’m the big disappointment
The type of person ‘your son’ shouldn’t be
Right now this world is far too much
I wonder if, when I am gone, you will see?
