One life

Something I want you to know.
I might have a key to your soul.
I might know what to do
to find out what's been holding you.
A voice calling out in your head.
A stranger asleep in your bed.
If you know who I am,
it might help you to understand.
These are our lives,
we have to get by
and your taking heed
should be all that we need.
Don't be so strong to me,
just turn yourself on to me.
Love doesn't come every night,
we've just got one life.
Come give yourself to me,
just open right up to me.
For loving right into the night
we've just got one life.
Everything you've ever known,
I ask of you, please let it go
and step into my world.
It's worth more than diamonds and pearls.
These are our lives,
we have to get by.
It's more than it seems.
It's not only a dream!
Don't be so strong to me,
just turn yourself on to me.
Love doesn't come every night,
we've just got one life.
Come give yourself to me,
just open right up to me.
For loving right into the night
