I saw you in a dream last night,
there, singing a song I knew,
regressing in the fading light of moon.
You threw orchids down upon the grass,
as you beckoned me so blue.
I was drawn to you with every breath I drew.
But different words, different mood, different singer.
Different light, different moon, different night.
Different words, different mood, different feeling.
Different love, different girl, different world.
Do you dream about a lover
to be with you every night?
Do you wake alone,
feeling that it just ain't right?
Do you dream of perfection,
of passion and of truth,
of a lonely voice, so gentle
yet so cruel?
But different words, different mood, different singer.
Different light, different moon, different night.
Different words, different mood, different feeling.
Different love, different girl, different world.
