Look for the signs

A burning desire they just won't understand.
It's more than a dream when it's carved in your hand.
Been doing the sentance for being naive
and bruised, never broken, it's time to achieve.
You've read it, you've heard it, you've seen it before.
Succumbe to forces we just can't ignore,
when there's fire in our hearts and fear in our eyes.
The passion that keeps us alive.
We forgive, we forget.
We just can't be too touchy or get too upset
when we hear what they say
as they try to conform us, we know not to play
'cause we know one day we'll blow their minds.
Look for the signs.
While the tide of adversity covers the land
we clamber to cater for every demand
and everyone's trying to kick down our wall.
They dish out advice but get nowhere at all.
We grow from the struggle and take all the flack
from souls in the gutter and knives in the back.
Only foresight and faith can cut through the hate.
The keys that can open the gate.
We forgive, swallow our pride,
'cause we know some day they'll realise we were right
to commit to our cause
and believe in the reason for which we were spawned.
'Cause we know to stand up all our lives,
'cause we're branded from birth, you will find
if you look for the signs.
Yeah.
