The Ladies Prayer

Age Group: Adult
Our Mother who art the Earth,
blessed be thy many names.
Thy rule return supreme.
Thy purpose her be done,
As it was when time began.
Sustain us from thy bounteous larder, Nature.
Protect us, as we protect the weaker in thy name.
Lead us not into fierce and fleeting pride,
But through our lives, from sacred womb to earthly tomb.
For thine is both Birth and Death.
Life Giver, Life Taker,
Forever and ever.
Amen.
Author's Notes: My daughter, who had been excused her religious studies classes in school (the class had elected to do "Bible Stories" rather than "Comparitive Religion") was told that it was her turn to say the prayer in Form Assembley, and if she didn't know a prayer, she should just say the Lord's Prayer!
Obviously based on a tried and trusted format. Nothing in the world is new. Perhaps the earlier author based his on an older version, who would blame him.
