Ode to Samhain

Age Group: Adult
A time our ancesters always held dear
It heralds the start of the Celtic New Year
The Faerie mounds opened
wise ones can hear
good and bad prophecies for the forthcoming year
The ancient underworld opens its doors
for a sole night only, spirits explore
Jack o' glares from the sill of our hearth
as evil eye lurks in the dark
Relight the fire after putting it out
the new times comin' as old ones go out
Embrace this mystic time of the year
and thank the Goddess for bringing us here
The dark entities will likely try to fright
as the white witch repels them all through the night
