What if I see you in my dreams,
(could it mean anything?)
What if the truth ain't what it seems,
(should we stop believing?)
What if I can't be true to you,
if I can't be true to me.
(Would you believe in me?)
I need to take it day by day,
(each day a little sadder.)
I'll take my chances come what may,
(to stop me getting madder.)
Now that I'm blowing on the breeze,
maybe you'll open up to me.
(Would you believe in me.)
Hold me, save me.
Touch me, baby.
Your love can keep me safe
but I'm depending on your faith.
Could you believe in me,
or be leaving me?
I feel I'm washing in your waves,
(adrift on my emotions.)
Hopelessly, never to be saved.
(Shipwrecked beneath your oceans)
No one can see beyond the deep.
It leads me to confusion.
Would you believe in me.
Hold me, save me.
Touch me, baby.
