Lunar

When I was young the only way
was sleep all night and dream all day
In fantasy, devoid of fear
a scary mask could hide a tear
Now I'm dreaming on my own
no toys except the telephone
My fantasies in disarray
'coz no-one's coming out to play
Oh-oh - is someone turning in the night?
A damsel wishing by the light, somewhere tonight?
Oh-oh - is there anybody there...
...or doesn't anybody care?
Is there anybody there??
It may have really done us harm
that Santa Clause was just a yarn
And faith that makes us all believe,
mislayed & so hard to retrieve.
Oh-oh - is someone turning in the night?
A damsel wishing by her light, somewhere tonight?
Oh-oh - is there anybody there...
...or doesn't anybody care?
Is there anybody there??
After all, we can't be meant
to suffer disillusionment.
I hope that I will not forget ....
....this lunar tune, could save me yet!
