Frozen Hearts and Bleeding Souls (1)

Immortals' Wedding Song
Frost or fire, your hand on mine
Chills, yet burns my skin.
Can it be wrong what feels so right,
This paradise of sin?
Agony like ecstasy,
Pleasure so like pain,
Our thirst is quenched, our limbs are drenched,
With scalding crimson rain.
Blood streams from my aching heart
To fill your yearning core.
We are joined by midnight's bonds,
As one forever more.
The heartless sun now mounts the sky
And so must end our tryst,
But we shall meet again, my love,
When shadows rise and mist
Cloaks the earth with pallid veils
To hide our love from sight.
The Moon will shine forever on
We children of the Night.
Author's Notes: Part of a quintet written in the middle 90s; I was way into my teen angst vampire phase at that time.
