Lady Of Jubilation

Thine is the soft finger tap on the adapa of the dancing maid as her feet trace mandalas in the sand.
Thine is the rhythm of the balag, the pulse of musician-priest and the very measure of life.
Thou art the Source from Whom we sprang, Who lends each heart its fixed unbending measure.
Thou art the ‘ching’ of the sehem – the mirror’d movement of the fairest priestess in Thy rituals.
Thou art the scarlet raiment of the dancing girl and shimmering flash of her many golden bracelets.
Thou hast inspired Thy temple adorment and vivid glory of each tayet from painter’s hand.
Thou, Being of Gold, Who brightens the Sohim of Thy children, inspiring them to voice aloud Thy hymns and praise, Thou art the all empowering Sekhmet.
And when all these coalesce on festive days in accord and splendour, all for Thy tribute, the ecstasy supreme transports us to Thy Realm of mystery eternal.
Then comest Thou to receive the hotep-netjert en henket, te, ka’a at Thy Senut – the gifts of Thy devotees and all to Thine honour that thy Ka be fed.
Then feel we Thy presence, whirling and dancing the
pirouette of joy and Life in Her temple, the Golden Netjert - The Lady of Jubilation.
