Midwinter Chant

Wake, Thou Child of Life and Light;
Smile and chase the longest night.
Blest Thy rising; blest the morn.
Blest the Womb whence Thou art born.
Light the earth and light the skies;
Joy be ours as sorrow flies.
Dance, ye three of earthly form;
Dance, ye three of water born;
Dance, ye three of fiery frame;
Dance, ye three of air's domain.
Around thy Lord forever fly
Th'eternal twelve that dance on high.
