Epigenesis

The High Queen of Eternity,
(Whose Spirit first decreed
The great Divine telemetry
To which all born give heed)
Poured forth a silent charm newborn.
And secret rune and word
Unspoken since an earlier morn
Aroused Her slumb'ring Lord.
Throughout the web it sped apace
And at each nexus dim
Where meet the warp and weft of space
A presence rose within.
An unseen brightness charged the dawn
Till Royal Prince and Queen
Conceived a family yet unborn
From many an ancient dream.
