Wedding Blessing

We cannot be with you on your special day
We're the spirits of loved ones, who have gone away.
But we're sending you blessings, from here up above
That your marriage be filled with trust and with love.
We're sharing the knowledge that only we know,
To help in the future as you steadily grow.
When the sun is shining, bask in its' glow
Giving thanks for all the love that you know.
If dark clouds should form, stand together, be strong
And you'll always face any troubles head on.
Don't end the day on words said in haste,
Arguments only fester and waste,
Admit when you're wrong, never fear to say sorry,
Try not to give any cause to worry.
And as the moon shines down at the end of the day,
The three words "I Love You" are the best thing to day.
Always be faithfull, loyal and true
And the Magic of Love will always be there for you!
And if you should need us you just have to say
We'll never be more than a whisper away!
Author's Notes: I wrote this for my daughter, who got married a few weeks ago. I based it on what my late Dad and Granparents would have wanted to say to her had they still been with us.
