Y Fam Ddu

Age Group: Adult
Darkness abounded in density,
Thriving within mysterious depths.
Yet depth and breadth were naught
As no dimension yet was understood
And mystique and all were one.
Still 'all' was but reverie and aspiration
Ere outspread this compact umbra
Beyond the veilčd miniature marvel.
Lo within this dimmest gyre -
Discernment deep of purpose,
Gender, Motherhood and acuity
Of Universal uterine proclivity.
And ere She deigned to sail abroad
In unseen waters inexplicable -
A viscous void which grew apace
With deepest voyages perpetual,
Her memories and sails She raised
To chart Her myriad quests profound.
Thus being and becoming were as one
Until each farrow was devoured
At dissolution of a cycle or an aeon.
So Mater and Sustainer were as one
E'en with Mae'r Golchwr y Rhyd.*
