Sitting on the hill,
Around my waist,
Your hand slips,
Lips against my cheek,
Whispering words,
Dripping from your lips like water,
My heart breaks for what cannot be,
That was long ago,
Another life,
Another soul,
Another person,
But this is me,
Here i am,
You turn away,
Too much pride,
Again my heart breaks,
You were my first love,
I'm with someone else now,
But you persist,
You sing our song,
Flying on the wings of love,
We were in love,
Why cant we try again ?
Walk hand in hand,
Under the setting sun,
A feeling of love,
Of contentment,
Maybe in another life you'll change,
See me for the powerful woman i am,
Not a little girl,
Not a duckling,
Who will follow you around,
I am a swan,
I have my life,
I'm so confused,
You want me when its difficult,
You dont when its not,
I want you now,
Passsion stirs,
My heart beets,
You should be mine,
But someone else holds your hand,
holds your heart,
I am lost,
I lied,
I am a duckling,
I am blinded by love,
I cant see you looking at her the way you did me,
I will go to nothing to get you,
You are mine,
Not hers,
She wont win,
I'll make sure,
She looks in your eyes ,
and you look back,
You love her,
I can tell,
But suddenly your head turns,
You look at me,
Beneath the blue swirls of your eyes,
I see fire,
You are smoldering,
Just below the surface,
Full of passion,
Of longing,
This is my chance,
I run up,
My arms round your neck,
My lips on yours,
My dream come true,
Then i look round,
I see only hurt,
In face of the girl,
Who,
Up until now,
I didnt realise,
Was myself.
Author's Notes: I just felt this and wrote it down, it doesnt rhyme, but i think its poetic.
