Grown Up

Age Group: Adult
Your precious angel,
She grew up,
Walked the world long ago,
She knows the secrets of the earth,
The problems,
And jubilations,
And now she asks you one thing,
Let her go,
Release the straps,
Let her wings spread,
She is now a swan,
No longer a duckling,
No more will she hide away,
She loves you with all her heart,
And would give her life for any of you,
But she grew up,
You were blinded by love,
Too blind to see,
Her sprouting wings,
And ready to take flight,
But what holds her back is the straps of childhood,
Let her go,
Always she will be there at your side,
But a whole new life awaits out there,
And she is destined to go far.
Author's Notes: This poem was written by me, wen my parents and i had had a falen out over my going plces. Does this apply to anyone else ?
