Resurrectio

As I was lying on the Grass so Soft,
Immersed in an Endless Pool of Contemplation,
With the Fires of Love, Burning Passionately
But a mere few feet from my Person,
I came to Realize, by simply starring at the Stars
Of how for the longest of times, I had taken
Even my deepest inner faith for granted.
And at that very moment, a Fire within Me was Woken;
Rekindled and Renewed, as like before.
Surrounded by all that I hold as Sacred and Beautiful,
Four sentences immediately flooded to my mind,
That had many times inspired me, again to make Me Whole -
To See a World in a Grain of Sand,
And Heaven in a Wildflower,
Hold Infinity in the Palm of your Hand,
And Eternity in an Hour.
And for that split second, at last I was FREE,
As though Manacles to my very Soul had been broken,
Allowing me to Fly High as Birds,
The Awen and Passion within me, Woken.
Author's Notes: I came up with this lying down at night on a field near where I live, with friends of mine making out near by.
It was the collective aspects of that night which began myself writing this poetry - a clear night, the feeling of cool grass, passion near by, quiet contemplation.
It was a lovely moment.
Resurrectio is Latin and in the Latin context talks more of a phoenix-like renewal.
