The Hidden Keep

At the Burning Gates, I stood in Awe,
For within would be a Story, a wondrous Tour.
I walked on and on, among Familiar surround,
My senses Flaring throughout this Tale so Proud.
Speak to Me this Story, this Tale - Enthral Me!
"It is Yours alone, Your Branch of the Great Tree."
The Halls contained many a-Painting – My Memories!
Things once forgot, Revealed to Me, again Free.
Why the Keep, the Stone? Why the Fire and Iron?
"They are made by You, to be Protected – Hidden."
Though yet, in simple Night-Time Contemplation,
Its Gates are thrown Open, the Keys to Me brought.
Yet in the Day, and Common-Life's drawl,
Locked, Protected and Hidden from all.
Author's Notes: So, I was lying on my bed after having a smashingly lovely hot chocolate, and about to go to bed, that the image of the Burning Gate flared into my mind's drawing board.
It guarded an old stone Keep, and within it were paintings, statues, sculptures of my life, of things I'd forgotten, things from a long time ago, and even things from yesterday, which had completely left me.
The way I see it, it represents my unconscious mind.
