I Walk Ever On

This path is a long and windy road,
Going through the forests bestowed,
For I have met the nature Gods,
And I do vow to carry their rod.
And I walk ever on...
The mighty ocean sings his song,
And with this he can do no wrong.
Sing to me, O ancient sea,
So that my kin can all be free.
And I walk ever on...
Amidst my brethren do I march,
With a heartbeat that I did catch.
We beat our drums to the Earth, our Mother,
And dance and sing and feast in her honour.
And I walk ever on...
Moon by moon and sun by sun,
I walk this path already begun.
It was started by men of old,
And they live on as our spirits bold.
And I walk ever on...
Free is my body and my soul,
And I reach up, standing tall.
For I am Pagan, and a Pagan proud,
A warrior, priest and poet vowed!
And I walk ever on...
With joy and pride I can shout and say,
And to the Gods themselves I pray,
That wherever I may come to and from -
I tell you now:
I shall walk ever on...
Author's Notes: I say, without any false modesty, that this is my finest poem. I'm immensly proud of it!
This was inspired by a poem by my friend Mika, and the title came to me, and I found the words for it! Woohoo!
