Lesson Learning

Age Group: Adult
Deep breaths as the memory stabs me
I fell on my own sword and sliced my heart open.
The blame in your heart tears me to pieces
And cold tears fall down pale cheeks as I miss you.
As I lie alone I see a face,
I read the fallen angels sad words so similar to my own.
The Gods come to mend my aching heart
All the while my patience is tested
Do I deserve to be saved with such anger inside?
We must find the light within us all.
One day maybe you’ll forgive me
And each little Angel will be happy.
Author's Notes: In memory of a love I have for one I have hurt. At the time we can not see the future until our actions have been made.
