Final Goodbye

Now we lay you down to sleep,
In the earth so dark and deep.
I cry still for a future that will not be,
But smile for the love that nourished me.
Where you've gone, I know not where,
But your memory remains in all that we did share.
Your days here were many- but gone too soon
Like a rose cut down before full bloom.
I miss you mum but you will always be near
Inside me, in the memories i can hear
I remember your laugh, your smile, your voice
You wanted to stay- but you had no choice.
Your loss fill me with pain.. an ache in my soul
Years may have past but i still dont feel whole
We are parted for now but will meet again
I know in my heart my tears arent in vain.
Until that day I will laugh and love the sun,
And relish for two things now only done by one.
May you rest in peace in this sacred place
Safe in the arms of the goddess' loving embrace
