Yule

Yule
Frosty morning, snowflakes falling
Evergreens and wreaths
Candles, cookies, friends come calling
Trees now free from leaves
Mistletoe and holly green
Bunches of berries red
Poinsetta bright complete the scene
We put this year to bed
We gather round the Yule log bright
And watch it slowly burn
In the darkness of this longest night
Toward the light we turn
The holly king has passed away
His time on earth is done
The oak king rises on this day
We celebrate his birth
As above , so below
All things fade away
Fear, pain and doubt I let you go
And give thanks this solstice day.
