Samhain

Bodies turning, winds a whirling, fire burning bright.
Arms outstreched to meet the sky, of this blackened night.
Spirits of the other realm walk with us today,
Remind us of the threefold law in all we do and say.
Guide us, steer us, show the way,
In this New Year and every day.
Round the house, clear the clutter,
Burn the sage, invokations mutter.
Isis, Astarte, Hecate, Pan, Persydon, Loki,
I summon thee, I summon thee, Great ones, Lord and Lady.
Dark moon, new moon, full moon bright,
Illuminate our paths tonight.
And as our feet slow in the dance, in our hearts remain,
One great power for ever strong, ever changing but the same.

Arms outstreched to meet the sky, of this blackened night.
Author's Notes: One of my favourite nights of the year; a reminder that there is light in dark, joy in sorrow, hope in despair and rebirth in death. A time of change and growth, of reflection and peace. Beautiful, black, amber, golds, reds, russets, oranges and yellows. Fire time.
