Imbolc

The wheel of the year keeps on turning,
While the fires of spring are brightly burning.
Imbolc feast of light and life,
When the God takes the Goddess to be his wife.
A time of renewal and rebirth,
A time of thanks to sweet Mother Earth.
The spiral dance around the fire,
When hearts burn close with feirce desire.
A time to heal, a time to grow,
To take into the future what we already know.
Keeping hearts and minds both open wide,
And to embrace the changes that coinside
With our plans and knock them askew,
Yet to learn from the ashes, there grows something new.
Welcome again to the Sun that lights our day,
To a God reborn today.
Burn a candle on Imbolc night,
And may your year be blessed with love and life and luck and light.

Author's Notes: Happy Imbolc to all! May this promise of renewal and hope be with you all this spring. Keep the youth and pleasure of the Goddess in your heart and may you all be filled with joy and beauty.
