Running Away/Running To

Whispers and shouts in the dark
Narrowed eyed looks and cold shoulders
Attacks for being one that is different
one that does not fit the mold
Services not rendered, kept turned away
*you are not wanted here*
*you are too strange*
*you need to be saved*
Walking on the sidelines
Can't come to play
So I have decided to run away
Run away
From the shady looks
From the hate
From the people closed off in their minds
From the ones that want to force everyone to fit in
Find a place of one's own
Find a place to call home
Through twisted trails I run
Tripping here, falling there
Bruised and battered
I run to find my own way
Running to
Her voice that calls with love
His voice that calls for freedom
Others that welcome with open arms
Be free from the fetters of others
Their path is not your own
Your's may be hard, life itself is a trial
But it will be worth your while
Forge on ahead
Blazing new trails into the unknown
Guides will be there to light the way
Showing new twists, turns, mysteries
Voices that shout
*be yourself*
*you are strong*
*you are vulnerable and loved*
The Lord and Lady
have set my feet upon the path
magick, mystery, mayhem
It is entirely up to me
to walk it
Author's Notes: This poem came to me after meditating on the trials that everyone go through in life time and time again. We have to keep finding the strength to keep walking our chosen paths. Big Hugs and Thank yous to all who have helped me on my personal path.
