I lay my cards out for you to see
what is in this journey for me?
I feel your hand upon mine
what is in this world to find?
Faces and colors stare up at me
from the floor
Are you telling me there has to be more?
I pray teach me to spin my own web
to show me the way to weave my own tapestry
I light a candle and wish for your blessing
I blow on the dice but the breath is yours
Your wheel spins, your faces change
I see you differently every day
Right or wrong
Good or bad
I feel your touch
in everything that is to be had
Author's Notes: Thoughts like these drift across my mind everytime I lay the cards. I feel her always behind me, as close as my own shadow. Chance and change are everything.
