Lost Child

Mother shine your light upon my face
for I am lost and lonley
Father stretch forth your hand
for I have lost my way
Hold me
For I am your child
I need your strength
Don't leave me alone
in the dark
I have fallen down a ravine
show me the way to climb
out of my own personal darkness
I lose you but I always find you
again and again
daughter playing hide and seek
You are seen in the strangest places
Sunlight breaking through the stormclouds
Tender young shoots growing through the snow
Mother you found me!
Your smile is glowing down from your face
Father you found me!
Your strong arms pick me up from the ground
Laughing you hold me
so long after the night fell
My cries brought you running
my tears wiped away.
Thank you for finding me
I love you always and forever

Author's Notes: In our darkest hours, we sometimes just need the love of the Lord and the Lady and the faith that in the guise of Mother Earth and Father Sky they will always come to the cries of their children.
