I will not Hide

I will not hide
what I am for your
comfort
If you cannot handle
seeing this pentacle
on my breast
look away
I have never forced you to
deal with me
Do not force yourself
on me
If you are curious
please ask
I will answer
the best way I can
You show the cross that you wear
I am not offended
I am happy that you have faith
in more than that is at face level
We have to learn to all live
together
nothing exists in a vaccum
I am not evil
I do not need to be saved
for my good or yours
I am not lost
I walk my own path
You walk yours
I will not bar your way
Go happily
I will not allow you to block mine
We are all equal
in the universe's eyes
I will not condenm you
for showing the symbol
of your faith
do not curse me for wearing mine
Author's Notes: One thing that I hate is the double standard. Rules that apply for one should apply to all. Anyone having to hide their faith to make others feel comfortable is wrong. I hope that we will learn to see the beauty in our differences instead of fighting over them.
