Lord of Light

Rays of brillance
crown the peaks
of the mountains' breasts
sharp as blades
A chorus of welcomes
and hails greet your coming
You are always faithful to us
You warm our bodies
warm the ground
Awaken us to our purpose
each turning of the world
Your golden face
impossible to look upon
burning an image in our minds
You shine on all
no matter what the persuasion
no matter what the vice
loving everything
blessing everyone
You pour your wealth
out upon the soil
We all reach high
try to touch you
greet you
with smiling eyes
with raised arms
with songs of praise
That you've come again
this day
Lord of Light
Bless us all
Author's Notes: Spring is finally coming back to Alaska! Time to make way for summer! Hope that the Sun Lord blesses us this year with a warm one!
