I admit that I have an obsession with books
I'll state that right now
I yell it out proud
Maybe I shouldn't
It's quite a drain on the account
but learning is so much fun
I'm hailed by friends and associates
as a scholar, a teacher
with as much as I have digested
They come for help
they come to debate
I love that too
They Come to Drool
and ask to borrow
*sigh*
I would love to
I really would
but you have to bring back
the ones that you have
checked out first!
My lover frowns
and says that I should
be more careful
it's good that I am so giving
but good books need to be returned
*sigh*
I love to help
I love the discussions
I know my lover is right
when books straggle back
two years after they have been lent
With a laugh
and a smile
I swear if society
goes to hell in a handbasket
I will have a library
to save some of the info
As craft librarian
I just need to make
a better system
to bring them home
Author's Notes: I have a huge library of several genres of books. It fills my small apartment. I just didn't expect some of the complications that came with gathering them. (As we speak, I am making a better system!!!!!) Does anybody else have this problem?
